Goal
One place where parents find every activity of the year
The challenge.
The OPP is a group of volunteer parents who organise activities for the students and their families. Its goal, in its own words: that children feel attached to their school and proud to come, and that parents meet, including the ones you do not always run into because their children take the bus or stay at daycare. A volunteer committee needed one clear home for all of it, in French, that any parent could open on a phone: what is coming up, when, and how to lend a hand.
An identity and a site built for parents.
We designed the OPP's visual identity and built its website, with the tools a volunteer committee needs to reach every family, and a back office its own team runs.
- A Year Calendar on Every Phone Parents subscribe once and their phone keeps itself up to date. Every event also has its own "Add to my calendar" button.
- Volunteers & Newsletter A volunteer sign-up form and a newsletter sign-up, with a newsletter editor in the back office so the committee sends its own news.
- A Page for Each Event Each activity gets its own page, like the Halloween ghost hunt: the date, the time, a button to add it to the calendar and another to help.
The identity: a parent who climbs holds out a heart to a child.

The result.
The OPP now has an identity of its own, and a site that brought its whole year of activities together in one place, in French, on any phone. An automated WCAG 2.0 A and AA scan of the home page found no violations, at desktop and at phone width.
